Bride and groom wedding photos at Camelot Manor venue

There are some wedding days that simply feel special from the very beginning, and Baylee & Clay’s timeless and Christ-centered wedding at Camelot Manor was exactly that kind of day. From emotional first looks and meaningful moments with family to one of the most incredible sunsets we’ve ever seen during a wedding reception, every part of their Birmingham, Alabama wedding felt intentional, joyful, and full of love.

Baylee and Clay met freshman year at Auburn University, and their relationship has always been centered around faith, friendship, and having fun together. Their wedding day reflected all of those things perfectly. The entire atmosphere felt classy and timeless while still feeling warm, personal, and full of energy from beginning to end.

As we, Defining Moments Media, photographed this beautiful wedding at Camelot Manor, it was easy to see how intentionally every part of the day was planned. From private vows and emotional family moments to a packed dance floor and an unforgettable sunset reception, Baylee and Clay created a wedding day that truly felt like them in every way.

An Auburn Love Story

Baylee and Clay met freshman year at Auburn University, and like any true Auburn fans, their relationship started with friendship, laughter, and quickly became something much deeper. Their wedding day reflected that same feeling from start to finish.

The entire atmosphere of the wedding felt timeless and classy while still being incredibly fun and welcoming. Every moment felt genuine. Nothing felt rushed or forced. It simply felt like them.

Their Friday wedding day in Birmingham began under cloudy skies, which honestly made the entire venue feel soft and romantic all morning long.

Getting Ready at Camelot Manor

The morning started with getting ready photos surrounded by family and friends inside Camelot Manor. One of the sweetest moments early in the day happened when Baylee revealed her dress to her bridesmaids for the first time.

The reactions were immediate.

Her bridesmaids absolutely loved her dress and quickly became emotional seeing her fully ready as a bride. Watching everyone hype her up while also tearing up a little was such a sweet reminder of how loved Baylee is by the people around her.

Throughout the morning, there was this calm excitement in the air. Everyone was smiling, laughing, helping each other, and soaking in every moment before the ceremony.

Emotional First Looks with Family

Before seeing Clay, Baylee shared individual first looks with both her dad and her little brother, and both moments were incredibly emotional.

Her dad’s reaction said everything. The second he turned around and saw her, the emotions immediately hit him. Then came her first look with her little brother, which was equally sweet and heartfelt.

One of our favorite details from these moments was that the bridesmaids watched everything from the upstairs windows above. They quietly stood there looking down, trying not to cry while watching these meaningful family moments unfold.

Those are always the moments that make wedding days feel bigger than just the celebration itself.

Baylee & Clay’s First Look and Private Vows

Then came Baylee and Clay’s first look.

The second Clay turned around and saw her, the emotion on his face was impossible to miss. The two shared private vows together before the ceremony, and it honestly felt like time slowed down for a few minutes while they read them to each other.

There was so much joy and anticipation between them, but also so much peace.

As Birmingham wedding photographers, these are the kinds of moments we love documenting most because they are completely real and unfiltered. Nothing compares to those quiet moments together before the rest of the day officially begins.

After their first look, we moved into wedding party portraits with the bridesmaids and groomsmen before everyone began preparing for the ceremony.

A Christ-Centered Ceremony in Birmingham

Right before the ceremony started, Baylee shared another meaningful moment with the women closest to her.

All of the bridesmaids and her mom gathered around her to pray over her before she walked down the aisle. It was one of the most beautiful moments of the entire day and such a clear reflection of the heart behind their wedding.

Their wedding was elegant and timeless, but more than anything, it was Christ-centered.

One detail we especially loved was Baylee wearing her veil down while walking down the aisle. We have actually been seeing that classic bridal look come back more and more this year, and it fit the feel of the wedding perfectly.

As soon as Clay saw her walking toward him, the emotion hit him instantly. You could see how excited and emotional he was all at once, and there may have been a tear or two involved.

The ceremony itself felt joyful, intentional, and deeply meaningful from beginning to end.

Elegant Wedding Portraits at Camelot Manor

After the ceremony, guests headed outside for cocktail hour while we spent some time taking portraits around the property at Camelot Manor.

Even though the skies were still cloudy at the time, the soft light made for some incredibly timeless portraits of the two of them together.

Baylee and Clay were completely relaxed together during portraits, which always makes such a difference in wedding photography. They laughed constantly, soaked in every moment together, and truly seemed so happy to finally be married.

Meanwhile, guests enjoyed one of the most unique cocktail hours we’ve seen recently.

Instead of a traditional cocktail bar, Baylee and Clay had a lemonade bar with different lemonade options alongside hors d’oeuvres for guests to enjoy outside. It was such a fun personal touch and fit the overall feel of the wedding day perfectly.

At the same time, the ceremony space was being completely transformed into the reception space, and when guests walked back inside, everything looked incredible.

The florals, details, and reception design were elegant without feeling overdone. Every part of the space felt warm, inviting, and timeless.

A Fun Reception with the Most Incredible Sunset

Once the reception officially started, the energy completely shifted in the best way possible.

The dance floor was packed almost immediately and stayed that way the entire night thanks to Superior Sound Events and DJ Breezy, who absolutely kept the party going all evening long.

Their friends showed UP for them.

The entire reception felt loud, joyful, and nonstop fun from beginning to end. Every time we looked at the dance floor, more people had somehow joined in.

Then, somehow, after a completely cloudy day, the skies suddenly opened up during the reception and the most unbelievable sunset appeared behind the venue.

It honestly did not even feel real.

We quickly grabbed the drone and captured one of our favorite images from the entire day with the reception dance floor in the foreground and the colorful sunset glowing behind Camelot Manor.

It was the perfect ending to an already unforgettable wedding day in Birmingham, Alabama.

Baylee & Clay’s Sparkler Exit

To end the night, Baylee and Clay celebrated with a sparkler exit surrounded by all of their closest friends and family cheering them on.

Then they climbed on top of a truck and drove off into the night as newlyweds.

A pretty incredible ending for a pretty incredible day.
